    Default Restoring MSSQL database problem

    Hi,

I backed up my MSSQL 2008 database using mylittleBackup as usual and went to restore on my local machine as I've done before. Today I get an error saying the MSSQL servers are of different versions so I cannot restore locally.

    Has hostek recently changed versions?

I would also like to back up my database from one domain and restore to a different domain with a different db name. I also get an error when trying to do this. What is the best way to copy a MSSQL database from one domain to another?

    Thanks,
    Doug

    Doug,

We have upgraded our MSSQL server 2008 to the MSSQL server 2008 R2, this is what is causing the compatibility issue on your local machine, you will need to also update to the newest version.

For your other issue please submit a ticket with your database information you are trying to restore to a different domain so we can assist you with this.

    Thank you
    Chris D
