Default Frontpage login problems with Joomla installed

The SEO URL rewrite rules from the Joomla installation can prevent access to the Frontpage Extensions, so if you have installed Joomla and you are also trying to connect with Frontpage, see below.

We have been able to resolve this issue by adding the following line to a .htaccess file. Place the .htaccess file at the web root level (ie, wwwroot).

    Code:
    RewriteRule ^_vti_bin/ - [NC,L]

For disallowing search engines you would just need to insert a directive in your .htaccess such as below, replacing the * with the search engines you want to block.
    Code:
    User-Agent: *
    Disallow: /
