View Full Version : Getting Started with WordPress on Linux

The easiest way to get started with WordPress is to sign up for a plan on the Linux platform.

Once your hosting has been set up, you'll receive an email containing how to log into your control panel (which is called cPanel). Once you log into the cPanel control panel, you'll scroll to the bottom and click the 'SimpleScripts' button in the 'Software/Services' section of cPanel.

Once in the 'SimpleScripts' section, you can find the Wordpress link and click it to start the Wordpress installation. Once that is finished, log into your WordPress admin area with the details SimpleScripts gives you.

Now that Wordpress is installed and running, you'll want to choose a theme and start building the site. At this point, I'd recommend following along with this article, which will help you navigate WordPress and start building your site: First Steps with WordPress (http://codex.wordpress.org/First_Steps_With_WordPress)
