Post How to Install WordPress using WCP control panel

    1) Go to and click on "Download .tar.gz 2.7 MB" link.

Save the file on your computer and note the location where file is saved.

    2) Login to your WCP panel at

    3) Click the "File Manager" button. Go to the "wwwroot" folder of your domain.

    4) Click the "Upload" button.

    5) Choose the file you just downloaded from step 1 and click "Upload File(s)" button at the bottom.

    6) Uploading this file might take anywhere from 1 to 15 minutes depending on your connection speed.

    7) Put a checkmark next to the WordPress file that was just uploaded and click the "Unpack" button at the bottom.

    8) Directory /wwwroot/*.* means that file will be unpacked right under the wwwroot folder.

    9) When Wordpress is unpacked it will create a folder named "wordpress" so it can be accessed on your domain via link like: If you would like to change that link to something like check the box next to folder name, then click "Rename" button at the bottom.

    10) Now you will need to create a MySQL database for WordPress to use. In WCP main window click on "MySQL" button.

    11) Click "Add MySQL Database" button.

    12) Put anything you would like for the name of the database (alpha-numeric only, no spaces). And make sure that "User" is set to "-- New User --".

Write down Server, Database, User, and Password, you will need it later.

    13) Now you can start the WordPress instasllation.
Go to your domain followed by the name of the folder that you have Wordpress installed in like and click "Create a Configuration File" button.

    14) On the next screen click "Let's go"

    15) Fill in the information you got in step 12.

    16) Click "Run the install" button on the next screen.

    17) Fill out the information for your blog, make sure to write down the username and password and use a working email address (this is where a password reminder will be sent if you request it in the future).

    WordPress installation is complete.
