One of our customer has pointed out a couple of changes he needed to make when going from ColdFusion 9.0 to ColdFusion 9.0.1. Although I have not verified this information, I wanted to share it with you in case it helps someone.

Quote from customer:
1) If you attempt to write to a database and the text-string the user has entered in the text field exceeds the max limit in the database, you will now get an error.

2) If you have a textfield in the database that is LongText or MedText and you do a CFQUERY INSERT into the database you need to give that field a value or you'll get an error. In previous versions of CF the only field that really required a value at INSERT time was the keyfield.

I also encountered the problem on longer VarChar fields. For VarCharfields you can just assign a default value in the database, but for LongText fields default values are not allowed in the database (at least that was my experience) so you have to assign default values in the code of your INSERT query.
